The Pittsburgh Area Slovak (PÁS) Folk Ensemble has been invited to perform at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Disney Magic Music Days is celebrating its 26th year by providing an opportunity for special groups from around the world to entertain at a world famous attraction. Being chosen to be a part of the "Disney Show" represents a legacy of millions of performers who have graced the stages of the Walt Disney World Resort. Magic Music Days is a quality events with a great reputation. These delightful events are arranged so that performance groups have the opportunity to show their skills at a world famous attraction. Over the years, the Magic Music Days programs have grown in popularity so much that it requires performing groups to apply in order to be accepted into the program. After successfully auditioning, PÁS recevied the honor to perform in downtown Disney on the Waterside stage, which is the premier venue at Walt Disney World. Because of Disney's high standard of expectations, it is a tremendous honor for any group to be chosen to participate.
On Friday, March 4, 2011 at 7:45 PÁS will become a part of Disney World's tradition of Magic Music Days in Orlando, Florida. PÁS will debut its new 25-minute program from Zemplin (East) and Central Slovakia.
PÁS performed in Detva, Slovakia at the 44th Annual Folklorná Slavnost Pol'anou v Detve (Folklore Celebration below Pol'ana Mountain) in July 2009.
On Sunday, March 6th, PÁS will also perform for the 59th Annual Slovak Day at the Slovak Winter Garden complex in Winter Park, Florida. Everyone is excited to attend this event to present a 25-minute presentation of songs and dances from the many regions of Slovakia.
Anyone interested in obtaining tickets for Slovak Day, March 6, 2011 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Slovak Winter Gardens should call (407) 677-6894. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.
