| PÁS Auditions are now in progress. We're especially looking for strong, energetic men ages 14+ for the Adult Group Ensemble. Prior dance experience is a plus, but not required. Dances include a variety of gender-specific performances, including the Men's Ax and Stick Dances, and the Women's Karičkas, as well as couples dances. Member benefits include: - Opportunities to travel and meet people from different cultures (both in the U.S. and abroad) - Education and immersion in Slovak culture - A fun and supportive environment - Performing for a wide range of audiences - Working with a great group of people - Learning the Slovak language Come see what all the excitement is about! Join us for a rehearsal, no strings attached. We meet every Friday night at 8:00 PM at the Crossroads Presbyterian Church Hall on Haymaker Road in Monroeville, PA. Attending a rehearsal is a great opportunity to meet members, talk to the director, and discover more about the group and whether you'd like to join us. PÁS is a non-profit organization whose performers, staff, and director volunteer their time and efforts in order to keep Slovak folk life alive.
Fundraisers and additional contributions supply the group with the necessary resources to continue our mission, from costume material to assisting with the cost of gasoline needed to perform at our many shows. Your support goes along way and we thank you for your generosity! Orders are due by June 15th for pick-up on Sunday, June 24th. Hoagies are $6 each. Description: 16-inch sub with fresh baked bread, provolone, salami, ham, & cappicola; lettuce & onion bagged separately. Italian dressing also included.
