To learn more about Disney's Magic Music Days click here. 60th Annual Slovak Day ................................... 10:00 AM, March 4th Slovak Winter Garden Complex 3110 Howell Branch Road Winter Park, FL PÁS will present a 25 minute program of songs and dances from many regions of Slovakia. Festivities begin with a Mass celebrated in Slovak; celebrant to be announced. Following the liturgy, a delicious luncheon featuring a variety of homemade Slovak culinary specialties will be served in the social hall. Music for dancing and listening pleasure will be provided throughout the day. Guests may also visit the collections located in the Slovak Museum located on the grounds. April 14th Robinson Mall 100 Robinson Centre Drive Pittsburgh, PA 15205 PÁS performs for the Center for Hearing & Deaf Services, Inc. (HDS) Sign-A-Thon 2011, which will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2011 from noon-3pm at Robinson Mall. The Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard-of-Hearing, and Hearing communities are all invited to enjoy an afternoon of socializing, entertainment, information tables, children's crafts, and more! Slovak Day at Kennywood Park ........ 2:00 PM & 5:00 PM, July 19th Kennywood Park West Mifflin, PA Enjoy the children's performance at 2:00 PM and visit the PÁS booth for the children's display which depicts “Popoluška”, the Slovak Cinderella Story At 5:00 PM the PÁS Adult group presents its premiere performance in Pittsburgh of dances from the Horehron Region of Slovakia, featuring the precision and beauty of stamping and rhythmic movements. The program comes alive with the Horehronsky Dupak, in which the young men and women impress each other with unique stamping and dancing skills. Additional event highlights include performances by the Pittsburgh Slovakians, the Slovak Food Kitchen featuring traditional Slovak entrees and delicacies, and a Slovak Mass. Slovak Vigília.................................. 6:00 PM, December 7th Saints Cyril & Methodius Roman Catholic Church 50 N. Morgantown Street Fairchance, PA 15436 The Vigília (va-LĒĒ-yah), "vigil", is the Slovak Christmas Eve Holy Supper (Christmas eve dinner) and is a meatless meal to commemorate Christ’s birth. Without a doubt, it is one of the most awaited and alluring days of the Christmas season. The Slovak people call it “štědrý večer” – meaning “bountiful evening.” It is a meatless meal of traditional foods. PAS will provide Slovak dancing and singing.
